Welcome to Kathy Marano Piano Lessons! I am a Johnstown native providing private piano lessons to local children. I am a teacher, and I am a passionate advocate of music education and performance. I myself am an active member of the music community. I am a member of 2 vocal ensembles, a piano instructor, and a volunteer at various music events for local schools. I started my work with the piano at the age of 5 and continued my instruction throughout high school. As you can see, my love for music was fostered from an early age. I obtained well over 10 years of instruction During high school, I became active in groups such as band, orchestra, chorus, and drama. All of these organizations allowed me to grow a further appreciation and understanding of music, instrumentally and vocally. During high school, I also began to play the piano for local churches and church events. serving as an organist for 5 years. After being approached by several individuals, I finally decided to become an instructor myself. As a teacher, I hope to instill the same love for music in my students. My focus is to broaden my students' musical knowledge by teaching an overall knowledge of music., focusing on theories, techniques, and performance skills.
